    Mesophyte,aerial,erect,woody,perennial tree.

    Adventious roots ,
    palm like leaves -palmately reticulate venation ,
    dioecious condition ,
    catkin like infloresence,
    fruit-nungu(palmyra fruit).

    family -asclepidaceae ,
    perennial herb ,slow growing woody climber ,aerial and erect .
    leaves are simple ,ovate in shape and opposite.
    flowers are small and yellow in color ,
    flower in detail -calyx is long and ovate ,corolla is pale yellow in color ,bicarpellary ,unilocular .
    It is a dry tropical plant .
    Economic importance -use full in curing diabetes ,weight loss and cough.
